Then we play cards

under the shade of a lush baheda tree.

When I don’t know the game they want to play,

my cousins shake their heads.

“You don’t know how to play even simple cards?”

They teach me, explain the rules.

Jeet punches him lightly.

That night, Jeet falls asleep quickly.
